Planning Don’t let the end of year sneak up on you. It comes around every year, so don’t be surprised by it, leaving yourself completely unprepared. Work out a plan of what you have coming up, what needs to be completed and what can be left until the new year. This should be in all areas of your life - work, family and social. Once you have your list of things to do, put a plan in place so you know when you need to do everything to avoid missing deadlines. It might be useful to add things to a calendar, have a to do list, or use a record management system to keep track of everything. Your brain can only remember so much... Pro-activity
You know you are going to need stuff before the end of the year. And by stuff I mean, contractors, service providers, corporate gifts and presents for the kids. Don’t be left driving around every store you can think of on Christmas Eve hunting for the one thing that Little Timmy asked Santa to bring him for Christmas! Likewise, don’t call a company expecting them to be free a week before your office closes for the holidays. Be proactive when doing anything at this stressful time of year. Book any services well in advance, beat the crowds by doing your Christmas shopping early and don’t leave your projects to the last minute. Preparation You know the end of year is going to need some stress management, so prepare for it. Be kind to yourself and don't expect too much. Knowing what is coming up will allow you to mentally and physically prepare yourself. It will help you to feel in control and not like you are flying by the seat of your pants. When you are busy scheduling out your life, make sure you schedule in some down time too. Or you could kill two birds with one stone and schedule an onsite chair massage from Bodyworkz at your workplace for your team. What greater way to recharge the batteries and be ready to face the impending stressful times? P.S. Take note of tip two and make sure you are proactive with your booking so that we can accommodate the time frame you need! We look forward to hearing from you
