Because every week should be Mental Health Awareness Week!
Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) started in New Zealand this year on Monday 21 September and reflected the challenges we have faced together in 2020. There is no question that we have seen stress and changes like never before, and that we were not quite ready for it.
We have all been affected in different ways, and have to find ways to cope with our 'new normal', and our mental health may have been affected more than we realize. It is important to take a holistic approach to mental health. There is no one-stop solution or magical pill that can instantly make everything better. However, learning to slow down, take care of ourselves, and find balance is a great beginning. |
Stress can have a huge impact on both aspects of our wellbeing, and the workplace is, for most people, the most stressful part of our lives (usually). Right now as our Alert Levels are fluctuating and changing, the anxiety of transitioning back into workplaces are at an all-time high as we leave our 'safe' places and change back into a different environment.
Regular workplace massage can, as part of a well-rounded health and wellness focus, make a world of difference in many ways, and improve mental health. Scientists have discovered that massage can boost both serotonin and dopamine by about 30 percent, giving us a natural mood boost.
If you want to explore the benefits of massage in your workplace, get in touch with us here at Bodyworkz. Our massage superheroes can now into your workplace again to provide nurturing and invigorating massages as teams are transitioning back to work.

Our special extended so you don't miss out

Due to Alert Levels preventing some companies from having their chair massage sessions during the MHAW, we have extended our special for the rest of the year!
Not only will you get the cheapest rate usually set aside for regular jobs only, but we will also donate a massage session to the team at The Mental Health Foundation, who makes it all happen.
